Postpartum

The word “doula” originates from Ancient Greece and translates to handmaiden or servant. A postpartum doula is trained to provide practical and emotional support to the new mother and her family.

A postpartum doula provides in-home care while helping the mother with:

  • breastfeeding support
  • basic infant care
  • sleep strategies
  • bonding with baby
  • postnatal care for the mother
  • light household chores
  • preparing healthy snacks

Every family is different and has different needs. The above list is only a few ways that I can help your family. I offer a free consultation so that we can discuss in detail what your needs will be as a new mother. This also gives us an opportunity to get to know each other and see if I’m the right fit for your family.

My rate is $30.00/hour and each visit is 3 to 8 hours, depending on your family’s needs. You may also choose from one of the following packages:

12 hours: $360.00
24 hours: $720.00
48 hours: $1,365.00
96 hours: $2,590.00
